Striving to understand the universal dialogue between the universal student and universal teacher, we gather every Sunday to discuss in a friendly and fruitful environment. Vivekji's wisdom and presentation infuses the satsanga with great inspiration and peace.

TATTVA BODHA

Acharya Vivekji facilitates our thought-provoking Sunday discussions focusing on the discourse and application of Vedanta – The Science of Life.  We are currently engaged in the examination of Adi Shankaracharya's Tattva Bodha.  Discussion and questions on subject matter such as:  qualities of a spiritual student, the path of enquiry and enlightenment are presented in an informal open setting.  Each week, we are challenged to reflect upon the ideas presented and encouraged to begin applying this new knowledge to our journey of Self-Realization.

To appreciate any advanced subject one must first know the basics.  Tattva Bodha by Adi Shankaracharya is a scripture which enables and empowers a seeker to study more profound scriptures.  In the interests of deepening our understanding of the Self, every Monday evening we study the fundamentals of Vedanta within a thought provoking and welcoming group.  Vivekji's guidance makes the discussion potent and pleasant, setting the tone for the rest of the week.

VIVEKACHUDAMANI

DATE: Every Wednesday recommencing September 22, 2010

TIME: 7.30pm to  9.00pm

LOCATION: 8108 Floss Lane, East Amherst, NY, 14051

Under the guidance of Acharya Vivekji, we study, reflect, and discuss Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s commentary on Adi Shankaracharya’s Vivekachudamani. Vivekachudamani is a comprehensive text on Vedanta containing the most enlightening jewels on practicing discrimination. A step-by-step study of all the verses helps the seeker to discover his/her true self. This scripture is indeed a great guide for any seeker in his/her quest for self improvement and leading a spiritual life. The evening culminates with a half hour of guided meditation led by Acharya Vivekji.
